Havoneea, officially the Principality of Havoneea is a sovereign micro-state not located on any continent. It is adrift in the Atlantic Ocean. It is the only state on the planet that for unknown reasons floats and moves with the ocean currents. Its origins and history remain to be clarified. At some point in the early Middle Ages it may have been located south of Kristiansand in the Skagerrak Strait. The last settlements are located at the top of the floating rock and at the lowest point separated from each other by the Anuuksen Fracture.

There is no doubt about its volcanic origin. A pumice rock of ten square kilometers. Its coastline has a length of 14.3 kilometers, the length of the island is just over three kilometers and the width is two and a half kilometers. The southern portion shows the impact of a small meteorite. It is probable that the impact detached the rock from the continent, leaving it at the mercy of the waves. Some experts  claim that it is the cone of an extinct volcano.

Possibly it was occupied for short periods of time by some Norwegian families. It was a state ignored by history throughout the ancient ages due to its small size and the fact that it has no arable land. Its first inhabitants lived on fishing and trade for hundreds of years.

At the moment not much is known about its history because sometime in the 18th century it was completely covered by snow during a dreadful storm. It was dragged by the currents to the Arctic Circle for ten years and remained stuck and buried until a few two years ago, when climate change began to thaw the ice and the walls of its two castles appeared.

It is everyone's wish that the Principality of Havoneea becomes operational in the coming months. We are working on the creation of a modern governance structure and defining possible sources of funding. The internal communications system and the information system are in the process of being designed. The Ministry of Communications and its Postal Service will soon be officially established. It is foreseen that the latter, together with the sale of promotional products, will allow the acquisition of the necessary funds to bring to light the history of a kingdom that was dominated for a thousand years by the House of Halvorsen in the face of the tenacious and recalcitrant opposition of the House of Horgensen.

Work is underway on the creation of the Ministry of Communications, the government structure and the information apparatus. The Postal Service will soon be implemented. The first issues of postage stamps will be issued shortly, which will be, God willing, together with tourism, the main sources of income of the Principality.
